beautiful antique dresser/buffet
this is such a pretty piece. i love the size – taller and chunkier than most others (kinda describes me so i’m a little partial i suppose) teehee cream and distressed with beautiful hardware!! three nice deep drawers so if you use it as a buffet there is lots of useful storage for odd shaped items – and isn’t that why you need a buffet piece to begin with?? i took a photo of the top drawer opened so you could see the little surprise i found! i knew the top drawer had the cool dividers which i loved, but it wasn’t until i got the piece home that i found the awesome wooden organizer piece that slides on the little wooden ledges. really unique and fun!! (in fact, this particular piece yielded an entire trash bag of surprises (my chosen profession is so NOT glamourous!!) everything from a giant size tinkerbell coloring book to a card that played the disney theme when opened to the most hilarious barbie dress you have every seen to an open container of approximately 7 bazillion beads…i’m a little slow – but i’m thinking somewhere along the way this was used as a toy chest??) i have decided that it woudl also make a great changing table for a nursery…pad would go inside the raised edge nicely and this piece is a little taller than the more normal height of 31 inches so it would be comfortable to stand and change a baby! could it BE any more versatile??? i think not!!
