i LOVE LOVE LOVE this!!!! (but, as i’ve said before…..would i ever really post a piece and begin with “this is pretty nasty….i don’t care for it and didn’t even do a very good job on it. it’s just truly visually offensive!” ????? i think not! so of course i love this piece!) i’m gonna go out on a limb here and say that this piece is pretty much WAY unique and one of a kind. it’s cream and distressed and antiqued and comes with the vanity piece (three drawers and two cabinets) the stunning mirror, and the charming little stool. it’s one you really have to see in person to appreciate….pictures don’t capture the true stunningness. (which is what my husband says about himself….pictures don’t capture his true stunningness – you have to see him in person. in fact – i may have shared this before….but you should see our walls. i am always hanging things and then rearranging them and there are holes everywhere! tom refuses to buy a stud finder to cut down on the “oops holes”…he won’t purchase a stud finder because he says it would be useless…since it would just beep every time he picked it up. ha! get it? he’s a stud?) anyway….this piece is incredible! come see it before it goes!

don’t you LOVE this one???? i would like to announce that this was a garage sale find (at a very upscale garage sale!) and that my maria went with me this particular day. i would also like to announce (since my name has been smeared in the past….) that she did not complain…did not get physically ill…did not become frightened at my driving…did not expect to lollygag or waste time…in fact…quite to the contrary…she was casing every spot for furniture…jumping in my big ole truck and dragging stuff around to make more room… running to check on prices…and being insanely useful in every way. so….in order to make sure that those who have labeled me as “unbalanced” or “psycho” know that i truly love them (you know who you are sandra…i don’t have to use your name!) we are going to assume that my maria is psycho like me! that way that super special friend sandra who i won’t identify will know that i value her friendship and have no residual hard feelings at all!! (tee hee – i DO love you!)
well….we found this….and i was so excited. (my maria did get a little sassy and annouce that she didn’t think i should have paid that much for it….but she was all wrapped up in purchasing a knife that was incredibly scary and whose only real use could be to inflict pain on others….so she wasn’t looking at how incredible the piece really was so i forgive her) it is now STUNNING!!! i love the three little drawers on top….the drawers all slide wonderfully…and as i look in the mirror, i find the reflection to be flawless….can’t promise you’ll have the same luck….but from MY view it’s a real selling point!! bah haha!
it’s a very unique piece….so grab it quick!

in march i posted a little end table with green knobs…my nod to st patricks day…and the little guy was purchased with a request that i change the knobs to black. i have teased that friend….and actually posted another piece with green knobs which had – in the drawer – black ones you could put on AT HOME – after you told me how much you loved the green! ha ha
that one was also purchased… by a way cool person who swears she loves the green (although she’s also insanely nice so she could have changed those puppies the minute i turned around and spent all evening laughing at me – haha) well – i’m going out on a limb again here….this time the hardware is …..red! i love red and black and red is surprisingly neutral. although….in an attempt to make sure everyone is happy….i have included a black pull in the drawer for you to switch to. as with the green piece….just praise me for my artistic and creative choice…tell me how incredibly darling it is in red…and change it out in the privacy of your own home! =D

i must say this was a giggle out loud piece!!!! i found it and was totally excited!!!! headboard/footboard and rails included in this QUEEN size bed set. i have a hard time finding queen or king size beds. twin and full are more aquire-able. (is that even a word). and i know several of you out there have requested queen. hopefully this will make one of YOU giggle out loud too!

i break out in hives when i have to fill the 3,000 gallon tank with diesel fuel – yipes! expensive!!!!

BUT overall….it’s awesome!!!! it’s actually turned out to be essential!!! take this set for example….there are no less than 20 drawers with this set. that alone would fill up a normal truck and THEN there was the dressers themselves and the nightstands too. it was one full load. and were it not for my amazing truck…i would not have this incredible set to offer!

aaaaaaa – my honey has made something wonderful for me!! (er – well for YOU!) i have people ask rather regularly for something to put their flat screen tv on. problems that poses?
#1 – the old entertainment centers with the 17 square compartments and the glass doors are kinda dated….
#2 – you can’t just put a flat screen on any ole thing – cause then where do you put all the components
#3 – you need something with storage cause now everyone has a tv, dvd player, cable box, wii, playstation, xbox, equalizer, game controllers, dvds, games, etc etc etc

sooooo….. TA DA!!!! here’s what my little tom….i mean thomas (get it? his name is tom….and i’m comparing him to the inventor extroidinairre thomas edison…loses something when i have to explain like that, huh?) well here’s what he came up with. i found a cool dresser that we transformed into a tv stand! the COOL part is that my man took the top drawer out, removed the inside runner and stuff and replaced that with a solid shelf so you can slide in your cable box/dvd player, etc. then he removed the drawer FRONT and hinged it to the dresser. open it down to use the remote and get all set up for a movie night or oprah (tee hee) and close it right back up when you’re done!!!! how AWESOME is that????? the two drawers below that can hold all the other stuff….and the cabinet on the right can hold a game system with room for controllers and another drawer under that for storage. is that impressive or WHAT?????

NOTE: most dressers can be refitted to handle this….for example….look at the post titled “he’s getting really good at this”. that three drawer basset piece can be reworked so that the top drawer has the hinges and can then be used as a tv piece. we’ll install the hinges, put the shelf inside, repaint the drawer, etc for a $30.00 charge on any piece you find that you’d like transformed!
